timenow.online does not ask for your name, email or account. Here is exactly what is stored and why.

1. Data stored on your device

Your saved places, the places you type into the 10 comparison boxes and your 12/24-hour setting are kept in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to us. You can remove them at any time by clearing your browser data for timenow.online.

2. Search counts

When you search for or save a place, we count the place name (for example “Tokyo, Japan”) for that day to build the “Top 100 places” word cloud. We do not link these counts to you, your IP address or your device.

3. Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before personalized ads are shown.

4. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

5. Advertisers and contact emails

If you email us (for example about advertising), we use your email only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.
